Scar Revision/Correction
Our Medical Center is known for specializing in and performing the most State-of-the-Art Cosmetic Scar
Revisions/Corrections and Cosmetic Surgeries in the U. S. We have earned our reputation through our superb surgical
skills and experience and extensive knowledge of all suture techniques.
We perform scar correction procedures on patients who
have had various types of sutures from sub-standard suturing techniques. We also use the Highest Quality types of suture products
available regardless of the high cost of these products. Other offices try to cut costs by using sub-standard or low-grade
products. The premium products that we use are utilized by our Medical Facility for inside tissue closures and outside tissue
closures and corrections of all type of scars.
SCAR CAUSES…
The following are examples of why a scar revision may
be necessary. This information applies to all locations of the body and to all types of scar formations.
Scenario 1: “Scar Spreadage” –This is when the physician has taken out the sutures prematurely or from the sutures not being securely done in the first
place. Some physicians are still doing this outdated type of suture removal and have never adapted to using the current
and correct ways of stopping the patients’ skin from spreading. Our Medical Center can correct your unsightly scar situation
in about 20-30 minutes.
Scenario 2: “FUE Method Scarring” – This is when the patient has little circle scars all over the
back of their head from the 1970’s and 1980’s techniques of the “Old Plug” or “Old Punch Graft” method of removing the donor hairs.
This method also destroys 30%-50% of the available donor area as well. This same kind of damage is also caused by the current FUE
METHOD and/or FOX METHOD procedure types of removing the donor hairs. Physicians doing these types of procedures do not like
to talk about these side effects and claim they do not happen. But, the only difference between now and then is that the punch hole
scars are a little bit smaller than the 1970’s and 1980’s. However, these methods still destroy all of the follicles surrounding the
single follicle that is removed by the smaller type needle punch instrument of today. This instrument has to cut the follicular bulbs
that surround the one being removed. Which regrettably destroys them uncessarily. Our Modern State-of–the-Art Technique has a 90%
and higher success rate and will not cause any unnecessary damage of the donor area.
Scenario 3: “Staple Closure” – This is when
the physician has used the old technique of “Staples” to close the donor area. Unfortunately this leaves an unsightly train track
type of look in the skin and is very painful to the patient while their skin heals. This type of closure is not normally done unless
the physician is trying to take less time in closing the donor area or doesn’t have good suturing knowledge or competent skills in
scalp closures. We strongly recommend that you stay away from any type of staples for the back of the scalp area.
Scenario 4: “Insufficient
Skin Elasticity” – This is when the patients’ skin does not have enough elasticity for it to come back together sufficiently
for a good and precise closure and/or the patients’ scalp is genetically prone to spreading. In which case the physician should be
aware of this condition prior to doing a procedure. With this knowledge in mind, internal dissolvable sutures should be used prior
to the closure of the outer skin. This gives the tissue adequate time for proper healing to prevent scar spreadage from happening.
At our Medical Facility we take special time and care to correct these situations and special attention to first time patients that
have this type of skin. With our technique, there are many times when we cannot even find the suture line after our patients’ skin
has healed.
Scenario 5: “Keloid Scarring” – This is when the patients’ skin is genetically prone to the scar having
a raised effect after healing. This is commonly referred to as a Keloid Formation Scar. Even though this type of scarring is
normally genetic, if the physician is aware of this condition prior to the procedure and has OUR level of Surgical Knowledge to do
this special type closure needed, then the patients’ skin can still turn out smooth and normal. Our Medical Staff’s Knowledge is surpassed
by none when it comes to this condition.
We have now covered the primary types of scars; including all hair transplant scar
types, first-time techniques and corrections of old hair transplant scars. We also explained all other forms of body scars and their
causes relating to the sub-standard way that they have been performed over the last 50-years. It is now time for you to pick up the
phone or fill out the Registration Form and let our Surgical Specialists have 30 minutes of your time to correct your situation.
